What information does Facebook really collect? Facebook has been notorious for lacking transparency in its privacy policies and data tracking techniques. Though there has been some improvement, most non-experts are not familiar with all the necessary settings to protect your data and help prevent hacks. This class will be an overview of steps to take. Class will cover:

  • Separating your Facebook personal profile and business page
  • Adjusting settings on your personal profile that impact your business
  • How to detect and avoid phishing

This course is a lecture format followed by Q and A.

Karen Kefauver is a social media coach, speaker and trainer with more than 10 years’ experience teaching business owners and entrepreneurs how to use social media marketing to build brand authority, grow business and boost the bottom line. She’s a longtime instructor with the SBDC and understands the unique challenges of small business owners. Karen has lived in Santa Cruz since 1993 and launched her social media business in 2010.
